Lists: Your Friends

Yes lists are your friend, don't be with out them. Look them over many times to make sure you have not overlooked something important to do.

Then rank them in order of what must be done. Leaving the least important for last. Now where dop you start, well you already have. the lists are so important to keep you on track. For those not knowing even where to begin with the lists. Ok well start in the most important room in the house, the Kitchen. Ladies and some men, want a place that will be fun to cook in. It must be clean and inviting to work in. I love a creamy white or white for the kitchen, it says clean. If you can't paint the wall by all means clean the room spotless. make sure you could eat off the counters or at look like it!

In the Family Room off the Kitchen did not need much but a cleaning. Oh the rug that had been it that room was dirty not just dirt but had spots all over it. It must go. I also wanted the room brighter so I picked out a creamy white to almost match the cabinet in the Kitchen, because they were next to each other. It really made a big difference made the room look bigger too.

As you can see in the pictures some much brightness and here in Seattle is a plus.
Picking the right pictures for each room is important too.

Tell next time think Fabulous ~

Looking at your house as the buyer!

That is the number one key to success, in my book.

Well let see what we need to do to look at your own home as the Buyer.

What I did is look to see what the kids and dog have done to the house ~ scuff marks and scrapes on the walls. Do you need to repaint? well if it is not a neutral color ~ seriously consider painting the walls. If you don't think it will go with just about every color Paint The Walls!

Now you can leave really wonderful rooms in Not neutral colors like light blue or even dramatic colors in the Powder Room. the extras in the room comes in Staging the House.

The kitchen in the pictures all creamy white needed to be spot painted. If you can mix the same color you can do this. They went to a store and had a color mixed, but when they painted the spots it was apparent that the color did not match well enough. I took the time to mix the paint to match, and no one could tell they had been spot painted at all. For another tip look around to see if anything jumps out at you. Case, when I went into the Kitchen and like a buyer started to open drawers and OH MY what did I see ~ chipped and unsightly drawer edges, well I took the brush myself and painted the edges and WOW that made such a difference. Like magic it Looked Brand New, now that would be called move in ready, and beautiful all at the same time.
So you see, literally, is what will make the difference in how the Buyer will see your House!
Tell next time, look around and see what needs to be done, make your lists!
